Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson compared Henrik Larsson to Eric Cantona after the veteran Swedish striker scored on his debut for the club in Sunday's FA Cup third round win against Aston Villa.
Larsson fired United ahead against after a side managed by his former boss at Celtic, Martin O'Neill, only for Milan Baros to grab an equaliser for the visitors.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer then snatched a dramatic stoppage-time winner to leave Ferguson relieved.
"We've done that many times in the past, but that was a close one," he told MUTV. "I couldn't see us winning after their equaliser because they were fighting so hard.
"It was a typical Larsson strike. Henrik proved what great fitness and sharpness he had and he could have scored two or three in the end.
"His movement and judgement of when to make runs was excellent and I thought that was the key part of his performance.
"He has scored important goals throughout his career and I think he'll do the same for us.
"I always said that about Eric Cantona - whenever he scored, they always seemed to be important goals and I expect Henrik will score some important ones for us too."
