Kent League club chase Sheringham

Kent League side Beckenham Town have made an ambitious bid to sign former England striker Teddy Sheringham for their FA Vase games this season.The 43-year-old played for Millwall, Spurs and Manchester United and ended his career at Colchester last summer. Chairman Chris McCarthy told the club website: "I'm really hopeful that between us we can it a reality. It's an enormously exciting prospect."
