Iniesta speechless after win

Barcelona star Andres Iniesta admitted he was lost for words following a man-of-the-match performance in the 2-0 Champions League Final victory over Manchester United.

Iniesta was a doubt before kick-off with a thigh muscle injury, but produced a sensational performance as the Catalan side were crowned European champions for a third time.

"We're the best," said the Spain midfielder. "There are no words to explain this, it was the perfect end to a spectacular season.

"They were the better side for six or seven minutes, but after that we had the game. Perfect."

Captain Carles Puyol was also delighted and referring to the league, cup and Champions League treble, added: "This is the last title we were going for and this is an historic season.

"We have given everything to win. We've won everything that we could win this year. We've tried to win everything and for this it has been an historic season.

"I want to thank the fans and hope they enjoy the moment. The last few years haven't been great. They have fought and suffered the same as we have."
