I'm staying at Manchester United, says Vidic - but Anderson future is less clear
Nemanja Vidic has assured Sir Alex Ferguson that he has no plans to leave Manchester United, but the future of midfielder Anderson is not as certain. Vidic has admirers in Italy and Spain and was left embarrassed last week when his agent told a Catalan radio station that his client would love to play for Barcelona. But last night the Serbia defender revealed that he had admonished agent Paolo Fabbri and underlined his commitment to United. Vidic, who also denied his wife is unhappy in England, said: 'I have personally never said anything about Barcelona, or Real Madrid or AC Milan or any club. 'Anyone who is a fan of United or the players would only have to see how I played to know how committed I am to United. 'I never speak about my future so I don't really know why someone else does. 'I spoke with my agent about this and what he said. I know about all the rumours about me but I don't want it to have an impact on the club. It's not a good time for my club to be hearing those rumours.' Anderson, however, is believed to have made his feelings clear to Ferguson after being left out of the Community Shield against Chelsea earlier this month and suggested his future might lie elsewhere. It is believed that some of Ferguson's staff have reservations over the Brazilian, who flopped in the Champions League Final against Barcelona and was disappointing on his return against Burnley last week. But with concerns over whether Owen Hargreaves will play again and having lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez this summer, the United boss is keen not to rock the boat any further.
