Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has returned to Real Madrid to discover whether he still has a future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Netherlands international striker has seen the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema arrive at the club during the close season and is likely to see his first-team opportunities limited should he stay at Madrid next season.
Huntelaar scored eight goals in 20 La Liga appearances after joining Real from Ajax in January but has seen his name linked with a host of clubs across Europe.
Marseille and Stuttgart have emerged as the front-runners to sign the 25-year-old forward in recent days.
"Klaas-Jan is back in Madrid and he wants to know what his situation at Real is now," said agent Arnold Oosterveer.
"There are a lot of rumours around and there is a lot of interest in him.
"But we also have to wait for the player himself to make a decision."
