High Court set Tevez date

A date of August 22 has been set by the High Court to hear the case revolving around the ownership of the rights to West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez, who is a transfer target for Manchester United.
The 23-year-old's representative, Kia Joorabchian, claims he owns the economic rights to the Argentina striker and started court proceedings against the Hammers to settle the issue.
However, an out-of-court agreement is still possible, with all parties hoping to get the matter sorted out before the transfer window shuts in a month's time.
Meanwhile, Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson still expects to seal the signing of Tevez in the near future, although he admits that the deal is starting to try his patience.
He said: "I am not worried because I am confident the player will eventually arrive, but it has been dragging on and it has become a bit frustrating.
"At the moment it is going to the High Court. I am sure we will get a final decision on the matter there, but if something happens before that, it is something we would welcome.
"The deadline is coming up at the end of August, so we do have to think about alternative plans that way. I just want the matter settled.
"I am sure even West Ham think that way. They have their own plans and they have done a lot of buying and selling, so they will want some kind of conclusion in terms of how their team is shaping up."
