Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has backed Ryan Giggs to stay at the top in the game for at least two more years.
The 33-year-old now features in a more central midfield role for the Red Devils, having made his name as a speedy teenage winger.
Ferguson said: "Ryan can play for the next two years without question.
"He has the right physique and has looked after himself, so I have no issues with any of these things.
"Quite remarkably he has retained most of his pace.
"Okay, he may not be absolutely greased lightening as he was as a 17-year-old, but he is still quick enough and retains the great ability to beat men in tight situations.
"It suits Ryan to be in a far more protected position. For 15 years he has been tramping up and down that touchline. There is no player in the Premiership who has done that.
"They have all either died, been shoved aside or folded. But he has been amazing in terms of having the capacity to keep wanting to do it."
