Giggs could miss Moscow trip
19 Oct 2009 - 11:55:34
Ryan Giggs is a major doubt for Manchester United's Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.
Giggs, 35, picked up a knock towards the end of Saturday's 2-1 Premier League victory over Bolton Wanderers and may miss the trip to Russia.
Elsewhere, Patrice Evra and Dimitar Berbatov also picked up minor injuries against the Trotters but are both expected to be fit, while Nemanja Vidic should play after shrugging off a knee problem.
However, the Red Devils could be without Wayne Rooney with the calf strain the striker picked up on international duty with England.
"Ryan Giggs has got a knock and is a doubt for Wednesday," confirmed Ferguson via the club's official website.
"Patrice Evra we'll have to look at on Tuesday, he may be a doubt.
"Berbatov, I think, will be all right. Wayne Rooney, we've got to try to get ready for Wednesday.
"I'm hopeful Vidic will be all right. But he'll certainly be ready for the Liverpool game (next Sunday)."
