French giants PSG fail with loan swoop for Manchester United misfit Anderson

Published: 02 Feb 2010 - 09:28:28

French test: Brazilian midfielder Anderson has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 Paris Saint-Germain  failed in a deadline-day bid to sign Anderson on loan from Manchester United. The deal was scuppered by PSG's reluctance to pay the Brazilian's wages. Lyon were also interested, but go not do a deal before the window closed at midnight on Monday in France. Sportsmail first revealed Lyon's interest in the midfielder over a week ago and a swap deal involving keeper Hugo Lloris has been mooted. Anderson, 21, arrived at Old Trafford from Porto for £18million in 2007 but he has failed to live up to his billing and has scored just once in 54 appearances. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson fined the player £80,000 last month for skipping training and dropped him from the side.  Manchester United misfit Anderson on verge of sealing Lyon loan dealWayne Rooney exclusive: There are days when I don't want to see Sir AlexAgent denies reports bit-part Oberton wants out of Manchester UnitedWenger bemoans naive Arsenal as United deliver title-damaging defeatMANCHESTER UNITED FC
