Freddy's back for United

Manchester United have performed a dramatic U-turn and admitted they are interested in handing a trial to US wonderkid Freddy Adu. The Red Devils had previously denied they were interested in taking the 17-year-old DC United forward on a two-week trial following reports that surfaced in the US. But it now appears that following the end of the American Major League Soccer season last weekend, the teenage prodigy will arrive at Old Trafford as he looks to engineer a move to a major European club. Adu, touted as one of most promising talents in world football, has been linked with Chelsea in the past and would be free to sign for a Premiership club when he turns 18 in January.
