Foster's set for derby cauldron

BEN Foster's Turkish ear-bashing was a timely experience ahead of his first Manchester derby. The United goalkeeper endured a deafening night in Besiktas' Inonu Stadium in Istanbul on Tuesday night. The Turk's HQ is officially the loudest crowd in the world having registered 132 decibels. "It was deafening. I have never played in an atmosphere like it," he said. "The gaffer had told us that we would experience something we never have done before. He was right. "It was hard to communicate. You couldn't hear each other talking or even shouting. I could be 10-15 yards away from Vida or from Jonny Evans and you just could not hear them. It makes it hard. "There was a point in the second half when the fans were chanting and I couldn't hear myself think. I have never known anything like it. "It is a bit of a frightening and disorientating experience. "It's great to have gone through that before the derby. I am really looking forward to my first playing experience of it. "City have got off to a great start. They have a 100 per cent record and it is going to be a tough game."
