Former Manchester United ace Cole set to strike for 2018 World Cup bid

England's 2018 World Cup bid has drafted in Andy Cole to help impress Manchester United fan and key FIFA executive committee member Amos Adamu. Former United striker Cole and bid chairman Lord Triesman will meet Adamu in Nigeria on Tuesday. As no African nation is bidding, Adamu is effectively neutral, and hence seen as very influential.
