Ferreira dismisses record
Porto head coach Jesualdo Ferreira insists that his side's unbeaten home record against English teams will not give them an advantage against Manchester United. United travel to Portugal for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie with the scores locked at 2-2. The Portuguese champions surprised everyone at Old Trafford with their attacking intent and were fully rewarded by claiming two priceless away goals. Porto have the psychological advantage of knowing that no English side has beaten them on their own patch but their manager does not think that the record will make a difference. "Only two or three players in this team played against English teams in the past so there is no meaning for the history between Porto and the English teams," he said. "I think our expectations are exactly the same as before. "Porto will play to win and wants to win but we don't have more expectations than last week. "Our expectations are high and we have exactly the same expectations as before."
