Ferguson targets title push

Sir Alex Ferguson believes his Manchester United side will benefit from more favourable conditions after Christmas and bounce back to win a third successive Premier League title.
The Red Devils are currently six points adrift of the pace set by leaders Liverpool with a game in hand following a first half of the season when they have been forced to play the Reds, Arsenal and Chelsea away from home.
Ferguson's side have also played away from Old Trafford immediately after each Champions League group stage away match to further increase the pressure on their title defence.
"You look at the first half of the season and we'll have played away to almost every team who finished in the top 10 last season," said Ferguson.
"That's incredible. I have to say having home advantage against those teams at the end of the season should help us.
"This season, if we can get to the new year and be within two or three points of the top, we would have a great chance.
"Traditionally we are always better second half of the season."
