Ferguson reveals Berbatov plans

Dimitar Berbatov has been praised by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who also reiterated that he is not for sale. The 30-year-old Bulgarian hitman, who joined the club in a record £30.75million deal for Tottenham in 2008, has slipped down to fourth position in Red Devils boss Ferguson's pecking order, despite being top scorer last season.Berbatov's future at Old Trafford was initially cast into doubt when he was left out of United's squad for the Champions League final against Barcelona in May and, since the new season started, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck have got the nod in attack, while Javier Hernandez is now vying for a first-team spot after returning from a bout of concussion. However, Ferguson has commended Berbatov's patience as he has waited for some action and he ruled out the possibility of him leaving the club before Wednesday's deadline."Dimitar has never complained one bit," Ferguson told The People."A lot of strikers want to play all the time, but Berbatov has handled the situation well and hasn't annoyed other players."We've had a few phone calls, but he's staying here - we're not selling."Berbatov has been brilliant and handled the whole situation terrifically he has not complained one bit."There was no more disappointed man that night (Champions League final) than Dimitar, there's no question about that."I made a decision that I didn't want to make, putting Michael Owen on the bench, but I felt it was a positive one."Ferguson added: "He is a quiet lad, but popular in the dressing room, and he is very determined. I have told him he still has a big part to play this season."But it will not be at the moment because the time and space between games has been good."We have an international break soon and then the Champions League starts then Berbatov will be involved."
