Fergie urges Pogatetz action

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has urged the FA to take further action against Emanuel Pogatetz following the Middlesbrough captain's horror tackle on Rodrigo Possebon.
Pogatetz was red carded during Boro's 3-1 Carling Cup defeat at Old Trafford on Tuesday night for a lunging tackle which left United's young Brazilian nursing a large gash on his leg.
Subsequent scans revealed no leg break or other serious injury, but Ferguson feels the Austrian defender should receive more than the mandatory three-game FA suspension for violent conduct.
Writing in the club's matchday programme, he said: "I am pleased the referee acted so firmly with a red card for an offence which I think the FA should consider further.
"There is no place in football for that kind of challenge."
