Fergie upbeat despite loss

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes his side are still favourites to win the Premiership title even after the 2-1 loss at Portsmouth helped Chelsea cut the gap at the top of the table to three points.
United still have to travel to Stamford Bridge, but Ferguson remains confident the Premiership crown will be heading to Old Trafford for the first time since the 2002-03 campaign.
"It's obviously disappointing," said Ferguson. "An away game after a European tie is always difficult.
"We played with ten men for an hour on Wednesday (at AS Roma) and that caught us today.
"In the first 20 minutes of the second half we were fantastic, but then we got stretched and the game opened up far too much.
"But these things happen. It has come at a bad time, but we've shown character and we expect to recover. I cannot fault the effort and I have no complaints."
