Fergie tips Mourinho to return

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has no doubt that Jose Mourinho will eventually return to the Premier League.

The Portuguese coach guided Chelsea to two league titles before leaving the club in acrimonious circumstances in September 2007.

Mourinho is currently managing Serie A leaders Internazionale but is widely tipped to leave the San Siro in the near future.

He had been linked with the Manchester City job following Mark Hughes' departure earlier this month only to reportedly turn down the opportunity.

However, Ferguson said: "Every time I've spoken to Jose Mourinho, he's always said that he liked English football better than anywhere else.

"The attraction to get back to England at some point will always be there.

"He's still a young man and being at Chelsea on Monday will have reignited his thoughts about English football because you don't get the atmosphere, intensity and closeness to the pitch at Chelsea in a lot of the Italian grounds. He'll miss that."
