Fergie targets title repeat
12 Nov 2007 - 12:02:25
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has challenged his side to maintain their fine start to the season and go on and secure more silverware in the coming months.
A 2-0 home win over Blackburn Rovers sent the reigning Premier League champions back to the top of the table, with Ferguson backing his youthful squad to carry on the good work.
He said: "We have a good, young team that is growing together and we are playing well. I enjoy watching this team.
"They play with great enthusiasm and imagination and we have individuals who can win games.
"There is a lot of courage in our play and the signs are good, but what this team has to do is win something. I think they have a great chance of doing that.
"We've got young players led by Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo and more in the likes of Carlos Tevez and Nani and Anderson.
"In fact, it is difficult to know when to stop when talking about our important players."
