Fergie stands by Ronaldo

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hit out at Middlesbrough's players and staff after the Red Devils earned a 1-0 FA Cup sixth round replay victory at Old Trafford.
Cristiano Ronaldo won and converted a controversial penalty 14 minutes from time, with Boro's backroom staff venting their frustration at the Portuguese winger's theatrical fall.
Afterwards, Ferguson fumed: "He is phenomenal. I don't know what they are going on about, it was a clear penalty kick.
"If it had been any other player they would not have bothered, but they have a guilt complex about him.
"It is a shame. They are putting a stigma against the boy that he doesn't deserve.
"We have had some great players at this club in my 20 years here and Cristiano is up there with the best of them."
Ronaldo did little to calm the situation down by telling Sky Sports: "I don't know why, maybe some people don't like me. Maybe I'm too good.
"I feel confident. I'm in good form and the team is very good too."
