Fergie: Ronaldo won't be sold

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is adamant that Cristiano Ronaldo will not be sold before the start of the new season.
The Portugal international has been linked with a big-money transfer to Real Madrid since the end of last term, but Ferguson has no doubts that the 23-year-old will still be at Old Trafford in 2008-09.
Ferguson met with Ronaldo earlier this week to discuss the player's future and, at a press conference to mark the start of United's pre-season tour of South Africa, Ferguson said: "The meeting went well.
"I think we both put across our points of view - where we stand and where the player stands.
"I can say he'll be a Manchester United player next season. That's our stance - he won't be sold."
Ferguson flew to Portugal on Monday to hold talks with the unsettled winger, who is currently recovering from ankle surgery.
Ronaldo will be out of action for three months but it is believed Ferguson made the trip to persuade the former Sporting Lisbon starlet that his future lies at Old Trafford.
