    Fergie reassures Hull's rivals

    22 May 2009 - 14:28:49

Sir Alex Ferguson has assured the rest of the teams involved in the Premier League survival fight that he will name a strong Manchester United line-up against Hull City.

Middlesbrough, Newcastle United and Sunderland are all contemplating the prospect of relegation along with the Tigers, who face a United side on Sunday who will have half an eye on next week's Champions League Final against Barcelona.

But, despite reports suggesting Ferguson will name a team of youngsters at the KC Stadium, the United boss insists that retaining the integrity of the Premier League is important to him.

He said: "We have a league that has the best integrity in the world and we'll play our part in that.

"No matter which team I play, it will represent Manchester United in the normal way.

"We're expected to win. We'll go to win. That's the responsibility we always have."

Meanwhile, Ferguson has suggested he is likely to select a team containing several youngsters like the one which started last month's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Everton.

The likes of Federico Macheda, Darron Gibson, Fabio Da Silva and Daniel Welbeck all started at Wembley.

"If I can trust them in a semi-final, why can't I trust them in the last game of the season when we've already won the league?" Ferguson added.

"To play players who've represented us in other big games is just a natural thing for us."
