Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has lauded striker Dimitar Berbatov after he played a starring role in Saturday's 7-1 hammering of Blackburn Rovers.
The Red Devils ace smashed home five goals at Old Trafford to send the side back to the top of the charts in emphatic fashion.
Berbatov, who had failed to score since his hat-trick heroics against Liverpool ten outings ago, certainly proved his critics wrong and he now leads the scoring charts with 11 efforts to his name, much to the delight of Ferguson.
"It was a fantastic achievement," he said.
"He could have scored six too because Paul Robinson made a fantastic save near the end.
"When strikers are not scoring they don't think they are doing their job right. That has always been the case. Today it came back."
