Fergie - One goal away

Sir Alex Ferguson insists that Manchester United are just 'one kick away' from the UEFA Champions League final. The reigning European champions tackle Arsenal in the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening. Ferguson's side take a 1-0 advantage to North London and the United boss believes his side are already within touching distance of the final. "We have a lead and we are just one kick away from Rome," said Ferguson. "If we score one then Arsenal have to get three. But I still think it will be close. "There is no question that of all the clashes we've had in the past with Arsenal, nothing reaches the proportion of this one.' Ferguson is determined that United start to close the gap on arch-rivals Liverpool, who have five European Cups to their name, two more than the Old Trafford giants. "Probably my biggest regret is we've not won it more than we have," he reflected. "We've a good history - but not the same as AC Milan, Liverpool and Bayern Munich - they've all won it four times or more. "I've got long enough [to emulate them]. Whether I take long enough, I don't know."
