Evans Gets Northern Ireland Call Up

Jonny Evans has been picked for the Northern Ireland squad that takes on Russia on September 7 and Luxembourg four days later at Windsor Park.

The United defender has been passed fit for the games which will be Michael O'Neill's first competitive matches in charge.

Evans suffered an ankle injury at the end of last season and has not featured in United's sides so far this term, he was however on the bench for United's last run out which was the victory over Fulham at the weekend.
