Manchester United's promising young defender Jonny Evans has vowed to stay at Old Trafford and fight for a first-team spot, having spent a spell on loan at Sunderland last season.
The 20-year-old Irishman impressed during a four-month stint with the Black Cats, helping the club gain promotion back to the Premier League.
However, the centre-half is now looking forward to making his mark with the Red Devils and breaking into the first-team picture.
He commented: "The manager has made it clear that I won't be going out on loan again.
"I'll be back at United and we'll see what happens. I'll be involved in pre-season and he has more or less said that I will get games.
"I am a Manchester United fan and it has been my aim since I signed for the club to get into the first-team.
"The incentive is there for me now and I want to be good enough to be playing for United."
