Edwin could carry on

Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has hinted he may not retire from playing football at the end of the season. The 38-year-old former Holland international will have completed five years' service at Old Trafford when his contract expires next summer. Van der Sar has been something of a revelation during his time with the Red Devils, form that has restricted Ben Foster and Tomasz Kuszczak's playing time. Many expect the former Fulham and Juventus man to hang up his gloves for good at the end of the season, although he says nothing is certain. Van der Sar admits it will be hard to call time on his playing career although playing for a big club like United could mean he will carry on if he is enjoying his football. Unsure "I don't know if this is going to be my final season," he conceded. "As far as making a decision I'm going to see how the season goes. "It's always hard the moment you decide to stop playing. "It does matter if you're at a small club or a big club. It's the end of your playing career. So that's always going to be a big moment for any player. "Several factors will help me decide. Am I still enjoying it? Do the club still want me? These kinds of things. "The manager's planning to give Ben more games and I think that's normal because you have to look to the future. The manager has gone public on this. I still want to play as many games as I can next season."
