Manchester United have clinched an awards double with Sir Alex Ferguson named as the Premiership Manager of the Month for October and Paul Scholes winning the player's award.
Ferguson celebrated 20 years in charge at Old Trafford in style, as the Red Devils opened up a three-point gap at the top of the table with four wins out of four last month.
Barclays Awards Panel spokesman, Jim Hytner, said: "Manchester United continue to set the pace this season and Sir Alex has proven he is very much at the top of his game in his 20th year in charge at the club."
Former England midfielder Scholes has been in outstanding form since his recovery from a serious eye problem and has been at the heart of United's fine run of form.
The 31-year-old found the net twice in October, with his only league goal coming on his 500th appearance for the Red Devils in their 2-0 win over Liverpool.
