David Beckham will be out for revenge against Manchester United, warns Teddy Sheringham

David Beckham's former Manchester United team-mate Teddy Sheringhambelieves the ex-England captain will be fired up by revenge when hetakes on Sir Alex Ferguson for the first time since leaving OldTrafford in 2003. Out for revenge: Teddy Sheringham thinks David Beckham will want to prove a point Sheringham, one of Beckham's best pals at United, says it will stillhurt Beckham that Ferguson sold him because he felt his fame andoff-field activities were hindering his performances. Sheringham said: 'Does he have a point to prove? Without a doubt. Hewill want to do really well to let Sir Alex know what he did by lettinghim go. 'He will want to put on his best performance. He will be itching to play, particularly at Old Trafford in the second leg.' Beckham,34, who formed a close friendship with Sheringham when the older manjoined from Spurs in 1997, revealed in his autobiography, My Side, howdevastated he felt. He wrote: 'The gaffer had had enough. I'd grown up as a person and hedidn't seem to like what I'd become. Now (after a Champions League tieagainst Real Madrid in 2003) it looked like he'd seen enough of me as aplayer, as well.
