City to pay Munich respects

A delegation of Manchester City officials, led by secretary Bernard Halford, are to lay a wreath at the memorial to the Munich air crash. City are in Germany for Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich and are keen to pay their respects to the 23 people who died after the plane, carrying the Manchester United team, club officials and journalists back from a European Cup tie against Red Star Belgrade, crashed at the Munich-Reim airport on February 6, 1958. Legendary Blues keeper Frank Swift, who became a journalist at the end of his playing career, was also killed.
