Casillas tires of Ronaldo talk
12 May 2009 - 13:15:32
Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is tired of all the speculation linking Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka with summer moves to the Bernabau.
The Spain international hopes the club do not return to the Galactico era now that Florentino Perez has declared that he has joined the race to be the next president.
"Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka are great players but we don't have to keep returning to these names," said Casillas.
"What we need is a team that compete with Barcelona and one player doesn't change a team. I believe a team always forms together and there cannot be a player that changes everything.
"If we pay 100 million Euros for Ronaldo it's because he's worth it. But with the economic crisis it is peculiar that in football we talk of these astronomical figures."
Reports in Spain on Tuesday suggested Manchester United agreed last year to sell Ronaldo to Real this summer.
