Carrick: Squad strength key

Midfielder Michael Carrick believes Manchester United can go one better and reach the Champions League Final this season courtesy of a stronger squad.
The Red Devils were knocked out at the semi-final stage by eventual champions AC Milan last season.
But speaking ahead of a last four first leg clash with Barcelona on Wednesday, Carrick believes a place in the Moscow final is well within the reach of the current United squad.
He said: "The belief is there just as it was last season, but we have enough bodies here to cope now and it is the depth of the squad which has got us into this position.
"We have the options and variety to cope with the differing situations we find ourselves in, whereas last year we ended up a little bit thin and couldn't quite pull it off in Milan when it mattered.
"These games are won and lost on little details. We need them to go our way but we certainly have the players and the confidence, so hopefully, it will work in our favour this time around."
Meanwhile, Carrick insists he doesn't care which fellow Premier League side - either Chelsea or Liverpool - United would face in a potential all-English final should they overcome Barca.
"I don't care what would make a nice final," he said. "All I care about is Manchester United being in it and Manchester United winning it."
