England international Michael Carrick is the latest Manchester United player to commit his long-term future to the Premier League champions.
The 26-year-old former West Ham United and Tottenham midfielder has penned a new four-year contract with Sir Alex Ferguson's side just two days after Rio Ferdinand signed a five-year deal with the club.
Carrick told United's official website: "This is a fantastic club and it's a pleasure to be part of this great squad.
"I believe this team will be together for many years to come and to win back-to-back titles in my first two seasons at the club is a dream come true."
Veteran Scot Ferguson added: "I'm delighted Michael's signed a new contract.
"Michael's been outstanding since joining us from Tottenham Hotspur in 2006 and it's great to know he'll be a part of this squad for many years to come."
Carrick has scored eight goals in exactly 100 appearances in his two seasons at Old Trafford.
