Berbatov not leaving United
09 Jun 2009 - 07:59:45
Dimitar Berbatov is determined to stay at Manchester United and win over his doubters, according to his agent.
The Bulgaria striker netted 14 goals in his debut season at Old Trafford following a £30.75million transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in August.
But after being left on the bench for key games towards the end of the game, Berbatov's future with the Red Devils was brought into question.
However, agent Emil Dantchev claims the striker is happy at United and believes that neither Berbatov nor the club are seeking a transfer this summer.
"Despite speculation that he may leave, I want to declare that Dimitar will play next season in Manchester United," he said.
"There is no desire from the management for any separation.
"He will stay and we hope that he will win what he missed out on this year."
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has continually suggested that he is happy with Berbatov's contribution during his first season with the club.
