Berbatov in awe of United
Published: 01 Sep 2009 - 14:36:26
Dimitar Berbatov has admitted he is in awe of the talent in Manchester United's squad while he fully expects Wayne Rooney to continue improving. Berbatov joined The Red Devils from Spurs a year ago and helped Sir Alex Ferguson's side win the Premier League title. Although United have lost the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez the Bulgaria international still believes Fergie has vast talent at his fingertips. The 28-year-old concedes he would look 'foolish' if he tries to re-enact some of the tickery his team-mates can produce at the drop of a hat. "We have so much talent at United," he said. "They do stuff that sometimes I honestly cannot do - and I don't even try because I would look like a fool. "You see people doing it and ask them about it. You learn from each other. To develop, you have to." Meanwhile, Berbatov has reserved special praise for England international Rooney, who is one of the world's best despite being only 23. The ex-Spurs hit-man believes he will be even better with every passing year, while his thirst and hungry for the game is unbelievable. "What can you say about Wayne?" he continued. "He has been here for so many years, playing top football. It is amazing he is only 23. "When he reaches around 28 he will be even better. "We see in training, and you can see in games, the unbelievable passion he has got for football."
