    Berba humbled by Red Devils

    01 Sep 2009 - 15:26:15

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov insists the squad around him at Old Trafford is good enough to succeed, heaping special praise on fellow forward Wayne Rooney.

The £30million Bulgarian says that he cannot compete with some of the skill on show from his team-mates, illustrating the amount of talent brimming around the Carrington training ground.

And he claims that the losses of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez will not prove crucial due to the strength in depth that manager Sir Alex Ferguson has at his disposal.

"We have so much talent at United," he said.

"They do stuff that sometimes I honestly cannot do and I don't even try because I would look like a fool.

"You see people doing it and ask them about it. You learn from each other. To develop, you have to."

Berbatov singled out strike partner Rooney for an extra mention, claiming the former Everton man is among the best in the world despite not peaking.

"What can you say about Wayne? He has been here for so many years, playing top football. It is amazing he is only 23.

"When he reaches around 28 he will be even better.

"We see in training, and you can see in games, the unbelievable passion he has got for football."
