Bayerns Kroos hints at Premier League future

Germany midfielder Toni Kroos has hinted at a future in England's Premier League as his contract extension talks continue to stall at Bayern Munich, ahead of Tuesday's clash with Arsenal.

Bayern host the Gunners in the Champions League's last 16, second-leg clash at Munich's Allianz Arena holding a 2-0 lead following their Emirates Stadium victory three weeks ago.

Kroos, 24, has a Bayern contract until June 2015, but extension talks have faltered amidst reports he wants to boost his salary to become one of the European champions' top earners.

"There is nothing much new and there is still no decision," said Kroos, who scored Bayern's first goal in last month's first-leg clash.

"Things will remain that way for a while, but it's no secret that the Premier League is not a bad league to play in."

Last month, British media reports claimed Manchester United are prepared to offer him £250,000 (302,835 euros, US$415,975) per week.

The Germany international currently earns a reported four million euros per year, or £80,000 per week, at Bayern.

"I'm the sort of person for whom everything is possible," Kroos added.

"The fact that I'll eventually need to give it some thought is also clear.

"Then I'll have to make a decision and weigh everything up."

Bayern's director of sport Matthias Sammer has said they want to keep Kroos, but Germany legend Franz Beckenbauer has warned the midfielder not to play poker with the Bavarian giants.

"He shouldn't raise the stakes too high. There is no player who you have to give everything to keep," Beckenbauer told German Sky.

"Everyone is replaceable."
