Bayern Munich v Man United - Match preview

Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney have both been declared fit as Manchester United prepare for their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich in Germany.

The England internationals both missed United's 4-0 defeat of Bolton on Saturday, suffering from groin and foot problems respectively, but are expected to start for United in the Allianz Arena tonight.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson remains without Anderson (knee), John O'Shea (thigh) and Michael Owen (hamstring), while long-term absentee Owen Hargreaves was left out of the Champions League squad.

Bayern have fitness concerns over Mario Gomez (calf) and former Chelsea midfielder Arjen Robben (calf), while Bastian Schweinsteiger is suspended.
