Barcelona officials have confirmed that head coach Josep Guardiola will not be leaving Camp Nou for Premier League giants Manchester United.
Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is confident the former Barca midfield man will stay at the helm after penning a new two-year contract in the summer.
Guardiola is believed to be Sir Alex Ferguson's number one choice to replace him in the Old Trafford hot-seat when he retires, but Zubizaretta is adamant he will stay and fulfil the Catalan powerhouses long-term project.
"If Ferguson is thinking that way, he has excellent taste," Zubizaretta told Ona FM.
"But everybody knows the ties Guardiola has with Barca, which go far beyond the contract he has.
"There is nothing we are keeping from people and nothing holding us back - we are working on a long-term project."
