Bangkok Bryan! Robson closes in on Thailand hot seat after talks over keeping Manchester United role

Bryan Robson looks set to be confirmed as manager of Thailand on Wednesday following talks in Bangkok. Robson is in line to replace former England team-mate Peter Reidafter the former Sunderland boss returned to the Premier League asNo 2 to Tony Pulis at Stoke. Asked if he had agreed to take the job, Robson told a press conference in Bangkok on Tuesday: "No, but it's looking pretty good. All this can be yours: Thailand FA chief Worawi Makudi welcomes Bryan Robson to Bangkok "What we will discuss is the commitment that is involved for thenational team and the timescale for that because of the commitmentsthat I have in England with Manchester United." Robson has an ambassadorial role with United and wants that to continue. Thailand Football Association chairman Worawi Makudi revealed therewould be another press conference after further talks withRobson.
