Anderson happy with United
16 Oct 2009 - 08:23:30
Brazilian midfielder Anderson insists he is now happy at Manchester United despite admitting he had become disillusioned with life at Old Trafford during the summer.
Anderson, 21, suggested during the close season that he could move on after struggling for first-team opportunities last term.
But after making six appearances in all competitions this season - including three Premier League starts - the former FC Porto starlet claims he is now happy.
"I feel happy here," he declared. "Everybody has times that are not the best but I am at home here.
"I have been at Manchester United for three years. Everyone at the club is nice to me. It is like a family."
Meanwhile, Anderson has backed the United squad to cope with the summer departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez.
"They were both very important players for this club," he added.
"However, this often happens in football and the club has to move on.
"We still have great players here like Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Nani. Now we also have Antonio Valencia.
"United must go forward and not get stuck in the past."
