Adriano rumours played down

Internazionale have played down speculation linking Brazil striker Adriano with a move to Manchester United.

Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly set his sights on Adriano as he looks to strengthen his strike-force following Ruud van Nistelrooy's move to Real Madrid.

Press reports in both England and Italy have suggested a £30million offer is imminent, but Inter president Massimo Moratti has heard nothing from United.

He told the club's official website: "There is no deal with or request from Manchester United."

Adriano's future is likely to be the subject of increased speculation in the coming days after Inter signed Hernan Crespo from Chelsea and Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Juventus.
