Ivory Coast international Kolo Toure is confident that he will be fit enough to play in Manchester City's next game against Wigan Athletic.
The former Arsenal star has been forced to pull out of the Elephants' World Cup qualifier with Malawi this weekend because of the heel injury he suffered in the closing stages of Monday's 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.
However, Toure insists: "I am having some pains but it will be fine for me after the international break.
"I was desperate to play for my country against Malawi because we can qualify that day there, but I could not do it.
"I would like to let City fans know we are together and I should be fine.
"It was a very hard kick on my Achilles, but nothing is broken there.
"We had a difficult game at Villa, but we managed to earn a point and that shows we are serious to be competing for top spots this season."
