Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for December.
The 25-year-old Argentina international scored eight goals in seven games in all competitions last month, seven of which came in the league.
Tevez told his club's official website: "I'm delighted to win the award, but I want to give credit to my team-mates for all their help.
"It's not just down to me, without them I would not get my chances to score and it's important that we keep this going with some important games coming up."
Meanwhile, Citizens striker Emmanuel Adebayor was among the Togo squad who suffered a gun attack as they travelled into Angola to prepare for their African Cup of Nations campaign.
The attack left one man dead and two members of the Togo squad needing hospital treatment.
A tearful Adebayor told BBC Sport: "This was one of the worst experiences of his life.
"I'm still under shock. I was one of those who carried the injured players into the hospital - that is when I realised what was really going on.
"All the players, everyone was crying, calling their mums, crying on the phone, saying their last words because they thought they'd be dead."
