Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has promised that there will be more new faces at the club before the start of the new season after completing the signing of Bulgaria international Martin Petrov.
The winger has moved to Eastlands from Atletico Madrid in a £4.7million deal and Eriksson is delighted with his latest acquisition.
"I don't think we are finished signing, there will be more new faces coming in different positions. Whether they are English or not I can't say," the Swede told City's official website.
"He will do very well for us, I'm sure about that. He is experienced, and it's important that we don't just buy players around 19 or 20 years old.
"In the Premier League you need class and experience, and Martin is a top-class player. Technically he is very good, Martin's left foot is very, very good.
"I think that the new owner has shown that he means serious business when he says that he wants to build a strong team, which is not fighting at the bottom of the table but at the other end.
"This is one way in which he has shown that, and I'm very happy about it."
Eriksson has already signed Reggina striker Rolando Bianchi, FC Sion midfielder Gelson Fernandes and Brazilian star Geovanni since being confirmed as City's boss only three weeks ago.
