Sven still eyeing Euro spot

Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson still believes his struggling side can clinch a place in Europe.
City have slipped to eighth in the Premier League table and have won only one of their last seven matches - ironically at Manchester United - but Eriksson is refusing to give up hope of an upturn in the last few weeks of the season.
He told the club's official website: "We have ten games to play - that's 30 points - and Europe is still possible.
"But we need three in the next game, that's the most important thing. We haven't won since Old Trafford and we need a performance and we need points.
"I think we will play in Europe next season. But if we pack in and think it's over, we have no chance to play in Europe.
"I would only be worried if some of the players think the season is over because a Champions League place at this moment is far away, but I haven't seen signs of that from them.
"Our dream for a long time has been to play in Europe next season and I think that's important for the fans, the club and the pre-season if we take in new players, it's easier if we are playing in Europe than not.
"With Tottenham winning the Carling Cup though it makes it a place less for all of us fighting for Europe."
