Sven-Goran Eriksson is calm about his future prospects as Manchester City manager even though owner Thaksin Shinawatra last week revealed he was unhappy with the side's displays in the second half of the season.
Eriksson is expected to hold talks about his future with the former Thailand Prime Minister shortly, but is convinced he will still be at Eastlands next term.
Speaking after his side's 3-1 victory against Portsmouth, the Swede said: "Will I still have a job? I am not worried at all. Absolutely not.
"It is nice people are worried for me. But you can't think about these things in life and I believe I will be sitting in this chair next season.
"My opinion, over the whole season, is that we have done very well.
"I don't think, from a young and new team, many of whom have not played in the Premier League before, that you can expect to play brilliantly all the time.
"I don't think you can compete with the four big ones. If you are among eight, nine, ten, it is a good result. If you can reach Europe, it is brilliant. We still have a chance and as long as that exists we will carry on going for it."
