New Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson could hardly contain his delight after his side won 1-0 in the Manchester derby against United to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
A goal from Geovanni just past the half-hour mark proved decisive, despite United making most of the running throughout the 90 minutes.
Eriksson commented: "It's fantastic, it was a very difficult game and we were lucky as well.
"For possession of the ball and shots on target we'd have lost, but the goal was what counted.
"Sometimes I wish we could keep the ball better but we won the game and three wins is very good.
"I think they have been unlucky, they created so many chances, but the season is very long and they will come back.
"Three games, three wins, three clean sheets. I must be happy with that and I am. This was our most difficult game so far.
"We have beaten Manchester United and that doesn't happen every day, although we still have a long way to go yet."
