Sven-Goran Eriksson will move a step closer to being officially confirmed as the new manager of Manchester City when he puts the squad through their paces at training on Wednesday.
The former England coach is believed to be on the verge of signing a three-year contract to take the reins at Eastlands when potential new owner Thaksin Shinawatra's takeover is confirmed.
The 59-year-old Swede is keen to start work at the club's Carrington training complex and flew from London to Manchester on Tuesday evening in preparation.
Asked if he was meeting officials from the club on Wednesday, Eriksson replied: "I think so.
"If you wait until tomorrow you will know everything."
Eriksson is expected to be officially unveiled as Stuart Pearce's successor when Shinawatra successfully acquires 75 per cent of the club's shares.
That would enable the former Thai prime minister to de-list the company from the Stock Exchange and acquire the remaining stock in an £86million takeover bid.
Eriksson is expected to be handed a £50million transfer kitty to bolster an under-achieving squad that finished 14th in the Premier League last season.
