Manchester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is close to agreeing a loan deal to extend his time with SPL outfit Falkirk.
The 20-year-old linked up with the Bairns in the January transfer window and has impressed in his 12 outings for John Hughes' side to date.
Schmeichel has yet to appear for the Citizens first-team, but has shown up well during previous loan stints with Darlington and Bury.
The young Dane told the Daily Record: "Falkirk are an excellent club and being there has been a great experience for me.
"The details of a new loan deal have still to be ironed out, but it should be completed very soon."
Meanwhile, City boss Stuart Pearce is readying himself for crucial contract talks with centre-back Sylvain Distin in just over a week's time.
He added: "There is no doubt Sylvain Distin is a priority.
"We have a meeting with Sylvain and his agent next weekend and we are hopeful of tying something up, as we have been all the time.
"The boy's heart is in this club and that is a great starting point for any manager."
